Accessibility at Museumpark Archeon

At Museumpark Archeon, we believe it is important that everyone can enjoy the history of our country. That is why we do everything we can to make our museum and park as accessible as possible for visitors with different needs.

Read on to discover the accessibility facilities we offer.

Wheelchair Users and visitors with reduced mobility

Museumpark Archeon is wheelchair-friendly and suitable for visitors with reduced mobility.

The park offers:

  • Wheelchair-accessible routes throughout almost the entire park, its free and can be accessed by using a coi.
  • An elevator in the Archaeology House of South Holland;
  • Accessible toilets in the Roman Inn and the Medieval Monastery;
  • Rest areas and benches throughout the park;
  • Wheelchairs available to borrow at the entrance. To release a wheelchair, insert a €0.50 or €1 coin into the locking mechanism. The coin is returned when the wheelchair is brought back;
  • Easily accessible exhibitions and historic buildings;
  • Handrails in the Roman Inn and the Medieval Monastery.

Please note that the medieval street is paved with authentic historic cobblestones. As a result, some paths may be more difficult to navigate for wheelchair users and visitors with reduced mobility.

This allows everyone to enjoy everything Museumpark Archeon has to offer at their own pace.
